The Great Indian (Poem)

The Great Indian
Nor Hindu, nor Muslim, nor Sikh, nor Christian
Be honest, be truth, and be a great Indian.

Nor lazy, nor crazy, nor slow, nor fast
Be a good, handsome, active and smart.

Nor weak, nor weakness, nor coward, nor cover dice
Be brave, bright, brilliant, and be courageous.

Nor serious, nor nervous, nor be a disappoint
Be happy, be cheer, live without fear and joynt.

Nor sun, nor moon, nor earth, nor heaven
I want to be an honest, truth, and a great, Indian.

Nor top, nor bottom, nor high, nor low
Be a gentle, smooth, and a helpful fellow.

Nor greed gold and silver, and the piles of treasure
I want inscribed my name in the history of literature.
